If your TV will not turn on properly, use this "forced" method: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the wall power. Insert the USB drive into the port.
If your TV is working and you are simply updating the software: Plug the USB drive into the port of your TV. Press Home or Menu on your remote and navigate to Settings . Go to Device Preferences > About (or System > About ).
Continue holding the power button until you see an "Upgrading" screen or the front LED starts blinking rapidly.
