Citect SCADA supports two different software licensing models:
: Try to recall common patterns you use, such as birthdates, pet names, or variations of your standard passwords. Many recovery tools allow you to input these "hints" to speed up the process.
: You will not have access to technical support or security updates from the developer, leaving you vulnerable to new exploits.
Searching for and downloading software labeled as "cracks," "activators," or "free downloads" for paid tools like carries significant security risks. These files are frequently used as bait to spread malware, including ransomware and credential stealers. Key Risks of Using Cracked Software : Try to recall common patterns you use,
: Many "crack" files contain hidden Trojans or viruses that can compromise your personal data or lock your computer.
: Using cracked software violates the developer's terms of service and copyright laws. Safe & Legitimate Alternatives Searching for and downloading software labeled as "cracks,"
If you are trying to recover a lost ZIP password, consider these safer approaches:
: Tools like John the Ripper or Hashcat are powerful, free, and open-source command-line utilities used for password recovery. They are safe to use and highly respected in the security community. : Using cracked software violates the developer's terms
: Download the legitimate iSumsoft ZIP Password Refixer from the official website. The trial version allows you to test the software and see if it can identify your password.
The FLEXERA softkey solution stores license information on a FlexNet Enterprise License Server. The Citect SCADA client process will retrieve licenses from this server as required by the Citect SCADA system. To activate and administer licenses, you use the Floating License Manager (see Activate Licenses Using the Floating License Manager).
In both cases, Citect SCADA uses a Dynamic Point Count to determine if your system is operating within the limitations of your license agreement. This process tallies the number of I/O device addresses being used by the runtime system.
A point limit is allocated to each type of license included in your license agreement. These license types include:
A special OPC Server License is also available if you want to run a computer as a dedicated OPC server. For more information, contact Technical Support.
If required, you can specify how many points will be required by a particular computer (see Specify the Required Point Count for a Computer).
Note:
• There is no distinction between a Control Client and an Internet Control Client.
• There is no distinction between a View-Only Client and an Internet View-Only Client.
