: Students start moving from textbooks to real people. Programs like My Life, My Story teach them to interview patients about their lives, not just their symptoms, to build empathy.
The story begins with high-achieving students entering medical school with a "high tolerance for technology" and dreams of saving lives. However, the reality quickly hits:
: Post-MBBS life can lead to Master's degrees in Public Health, PhDs at elite institutions like AIIMS , or directly joining research facilities.
: Students face their first cadaver in Anatomy, learning to withstand the smell of formalin while pricking their own fingers for Physiology practicals.
: Students realize the ultimate aim isn't just marks, but becoming a "generalist doctor who listens" and addresses patients holistically. The Final Extraction: Graduation and Beyond The "story" doesn't end at graduation.
The first step is to find a Hanen SLP who is certified to offer More Than Words. The SLP may offer the program in-person or online, or they may use the program content in their day-to-day individual clinical work with parents and children.
