As he reached for the handle, his hand began to glow with a faint, flickering blue light—the same hue as the storm that had swallowed their plane five years ago. He turned the knob, and the air pressure in the room plummeted. Inside was a single, flickering monitor

The thumping grew into a deafening roar. Ben followed the sound to the back of the basement, tearing away a heavy velvet curtain. Behind it stood a door that hadn’t been on the blueprints.

Just as he reached to touch the screen, the monitor went black. A new message scrolled across in stark white text: The manifest is incomplete. Return what was stolen.

"We didn't all get off that plane," Ben realized, his voice trembling.
